Christopher Hadley, known to everyone simply as “Cookie” has
been working in the restaurant industry for fifteen years. Starting as
a dishwasher in his teens, he worked his way through every job possible
in a variety of different restaurants, learning the trade as he went.
He has worked under many brilliant chefs in a multitude of different styles
from Italian to Asian-fusion. He also spent five years as the chef at
an organic farm, cooking three meals a day for 50 people, using mostly
ingredients grown on site. After working a year and a half as the Executive
Sous-Chef at Zambra, a Spanish tapas restaurant in downtown Asheville,
Cookie jumped at the chance to
be a part of the Pomodoros family. Pomodoros’ menu is a reflection
of his diverse culinary experience and passion for healthy, fresh, and
innovative food.
“Cooking
is a fleeting art. Even if you use the same ingredients in the same dishes
night after night, it’s always different. It’s important to
love what you do and to put your passion into your food. I want people
to feel taken care of, as if they were my closest friends. That’s
the motivation behind every plate of food I create.”
